Steven Goodman established Goodman General Counsel Services in 2010 in order to provide his key
clients with in house legal services. He was previously a Partner with Truman Hoyle (now Bird&Bird) (6 years) and
an in house lawyer with AGL (6 years) and a senior associate with Baker & McKenzie (6 years).
Steven has developed an innovative model for providing legal services for a fixed price. For a fixed amount per month
(plus reimbursement of out of pocket expenses) an experienced in house lawyer is seconded to your business for a fixed
amount of time per month to provide General Counsel Services. The lawyer, time commitment and fixed fee is agreed in
advance and if it requires any adjustments we will discuss and agree suitable changes for future periods. Either party
can terminate the arrangement at any time.
The benefits are:
• An experienced in house lawyer for a relatively low fixed monthly cost;
• Flexibility and availability; and
• A proven model with references from existing clients.
Our Prices:
Monthly Retainer: $8,000 (Plus GST) per month based on 1 day per week minimum commitment.
Hourly Rate for non retainer work: $575 (Plus GST) per hour.
